The problem of unregistered civil incidents in North-Western Syria: Causes and Effects
According to the (UNHCR) recent reports in Syria, 13,4 million people were affected by the conflict from 2011 until May 2021. (More than half of the pre-conflict population, which were 22 million). Half of 13,4 million people (6,6 million) are refugees, and 6,7 million people are internally displaced.
One of the most important legal problems prevailing is the problem of non-registering civil incidents.
This research was carried out by SÇDD in cooperation with Gaziantep University, Prof.Dr. MEHMET NURİ GÜLTEKİN as Supervisor of Data collecting (by SÇDD Team) and Research Author. In this research, we focus on the most important reasons for the failure of individuals to register civil incidents, especially children, and to know the most important negative effects resulting from non-registration, and the suggestions and solutions for these.
