When buying any movable property (car or mobile device), the seller’s source of ownership must be verified, as it often happens that a person buys something without looking at the source of the property, and it becomes clear that this thing is stolen, and therefore the buyer is surprised by he is under arrest and confiscation of the thing because the penal code punishes whoever buys stolen items according to articles 220-221.
Pending the arrestee’s ability to prove that he did not know that the thing was stolen, he would have stopped in prison for at least a week because of his failure to verify the source of the thing he purchased, so the process of verifying the source of the thing is very important in order to avoid legal accountability.
